North Belfast youth shot with air rifle
A 16-year-old boy has been treated in hospital after being shot with an air rifle in north Belfast at the weekend.
The incident happened on at around 1.30am on Friday in the Alexandra Park Avenue area of the city, although details of the attack were not released until Sunday evening.
A police spokesman said that the teenager is understood to have received two gun shot wounds consistent with being shot by an air rifle.
One man has been arrested in connection with the shooting and detectives seized the weapon in a follow-up search.
The youth was treated for his injuries, which are not thought to be life threatening.

Police Appeal After Man Shot Dead In Bangor
Police are appealing for information following the murder of Colin Horner, who was shot in front of his three-year-old son at Sainbury's car park in Bangor on Sunday, 28 May. The boy was in the car at the time of the attack. It is understood Mr Horner, originally from Co Antrim, has loyalist links.

Police believe that two air rifle shootings in County Londonderry at the weekend, are connected. Two teenagers sustained injury during separate incidents in the Portstewart area on Sunday evening.

The footage, which was posted on Twitter, shows a young boy with what is believed to be an air rife which was discovered in the Pitt Park area on Sunday, 18 April. Shotgun, Air Rifle And Ammunition Stolen From House In Co Antrim
Police have launched an investigation after three masked men stole a shotgun, air rifle and ammunition from a property in Larne, Co Antrim. The incident happened at a house in the Glenburn Road area at around 2.45pm on Tuesday, 16 August. A sum of money was also stolen.

Man Shot Dead At Family Home In West Belfast
A man shot dead in West Belfast on Saturday 18 December has been named as 31-year-old Mark Hall. According to police, two gunmen approached Mr Hall's family home on Rodney Drive shortly after 4:30pm.
