Teenagers to appear in court charged with arson

Two teenagers are to appear in court later today charged in connection with an arson attack on a County Antrim primary school at around 1am yesterday.

Three classrooms at the Largymore Primary School in Lisburn were badly damaged during the fire and thousands of pounds worth of play equipment, belonging to P1, P2 and P3 pupils, was also destroyed in the blaze.

A 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old woman have been charged with arson endangering life.

The man also faces 12 other arson related charges connected to incidents in the Lisburn area and the woman faces an additional two charges.

The pair will appear at Lisburn magistrates court sitting in Craigavon later this morning.

Heavy Snow Closes Over 80 Schools

Man to appear in court following Lisburn robbery
An 18-year-old man is due to appear in Lisburn Magistrates Court today, charged with robbery and grievous bodily harm. The charge is believed to be in relation to an incident in the Benson Street area of the town yesterday afternoon, when a woman was assaulted and robbed.

Teen Charged With Arson, Criminal Damage And Burglary
A teenager is to appear in court charged with arson, criminal damage and burglary following an overnight fire in Co L'Derry. The incident happened at a former car dealership in the Loughermore Road area in Ballykelly at around 8.30pm on Sunday. The 17-year-old is to appear at Londonderry Magistrates court today, 08 February.
