Two die in separate County Antrim RTA's

Two people have died following separate road traffic incidents in County Antrim over the last 24 hours.

At around 8am yesterday, a 62-year-old woman died after a two-car collision on the Ballyclare Road, close to Templepatrick.

The victim has been named as Margaret Barr Kitson from Coastguard Road in Larne.

In a separate incident, a man has died in hospital after the car in which he was travelling was involved in a collision on the Tully Road near Nutts Corner, just before 11am yesterday.

The man's name has not yet been released and police have appealed for the driver of a white or silver van, which was spotted in the area at the time of the crash, to come forward.

Meanwhile, police have revealed that a man was taken to hospital yesterday, after a lorry and a car were involved in a collision close to the Billy Neill playing fields in Comber.

It is understood that the injured man was trapped in his vehicle for some time, and remains in a critical condition.
