Pensioner injured during attempted car theft
Police have appealed for information after a pensioner was injured during an attempted car theft in Lisburn last night.
Two men knocked on the window of the man's car, which was on the Belsize Road at around 9.30pm, before trying to steal his keys.
When the robbers were unable to get to the keys, they made off in a white Vauxhall Corsa. Police have reported that the pensioner may have fallen as he tried to stop them and he was later taken to Laganvalley hospital where he was treated for minor injuries to his knee.
The robbers getaway car was later found abandoned and burnt out on the Whiterock Road in west Belfast.
Police have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any information relating to it, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Pensioner Hit By Car In Portadown
A woman has been arrested after a pensioner was knocked down in Portadown, Co Armagh. The 80-year-old woman was struck by a car in the Park Road area at around 1.20pm on Monday, 20 March. She is believed to be in a stable condition in hospital. A 49-year-old woman is assisting police with their enquiries.
