Portadown church targeted in arson attack
A church in County Armagh has been targeted during an arson attack at the weekend.
Shortly before 10am yesterday, a bin was pushed against the back door of the Church of Ireland church on the Drumcree Road in Portadown and set alight.
Minor damage was caused to the door of the Drumcree Parish Church during the incident and police have confirmed that they are treating the fire as "malicious."
Police in Portadown have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the attack or anyone with any information in relation to it, to contact them on 0845 600 8000 or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Woman Dies In Garage Fire At Portadown Home
A woman has died after a fire in the garage of a house in Portadown, County Armagh. The fire at Oakleigh Park, off the Brownstown Road, was reported to police shortly after 07:20 GMT on Monday. Police and firefighters are still at the scene and are investigating the cause of the fire. The woman's name has not yet been released.

House Damaged In Petrol Bomb attack
A house in Larne has been damaged in a petrol bomb attack, according to police. It happened on Church Way at around 10.30pm on Wednesday. A man was in the house at the time but was unhurt. Minor damage was caused to the property and a window was smashed. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Two separate investigations are underway today as the PSNI investigate overnight attacks, one involving a pipe bomb and another a petrol bomb. In Co Fermanagh, the PSNI have been criticised for not turning out until daylight after a petrol bomb was thrown at a Church of Ireland hall.

Two injured during County Tyrone attack
Police in County Tyrone have appealed for information after two people were assaulted at the weekend. Shortly before 10pm yesterday evening, two males were walking past the Derryloran Church in the Church Street area of Cookstown, when they were attacked by a gang of up to nine unknown assailants – one of whom was armed with a knife.

Police appeal following robbery in Portadown
Police are appealing for information following a robbery shortly before 8pm last night in Portadown, Co Armagh. A woman was walking home from the town centre when a youth approached her at the junction of Church Street and Ormonde Street and attempted to grab her shoulder bag. When she resisted, a second youth produced a knife and threatened her.
