Woman becomes the 16th person arrested in Derry raids
A woman has become the 16th person to be arrested following a number of police raids in Londonderry on Wednesday.
Ten men and five women were detained on both sides of the River Foyle following a planned operation by detectives investigating serious organised crime in the area yesterday.
The raids took place in the Gobnascale and Waterside areas, and officers working under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 searched a number of homes and offices.
Since the arrests, six people have been charged with money laundering and deception and will appear before Londonderry Magistrates Court on April 25.
Nine people have been released on bail and one person remains in police custody.
This is the second time in recent weeks that police in Derry have made arrests in connection with serious criminal activity in the city.

Drugs seized in police raids
Four men have been arrested following police raids in Belfast. The men were detained in north Belfast, Newtownabbey and Carrickfergus, County Antrim. All are believed to be in their 30’s and detectives have said they were arrested as part of a pro-active operation against the illegal drugs trade.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Man Charged In Possession Of Heroin
A man is to appear in court charged in possession of heroin. Police arrested five people during searches of a property in Newry on Wednesday, 16 January. Two men have also been charged in possession of a Class A drug. A 50-year-old woman has also been charged with permitting premises to be used for the supply of a Class A drug.

Road users are advised to plan for potential traffic delays in the south Belfast area on Friday, 15th November due to the UEFA Nations League football match between Northern Ireland and Belarus. The match will take place at Windsor Park, kicking off at 7.45pm, and it is expected that around 18,000 supporters will attend.
