Opportunities For Graduates To Earn Whilst Seeing The World
A paid teaching placement allows graduates to earn some extra money whilst immersing themselves in some of the worlds most ancient and fascinating cultures.
i-to-i, Award winning Volunteer travel and TEFL (teaching English as a foreign language) provider, organises paid teaching placements in China, South Korea, Thailand, Poland and Turkey. They provide the TEFL training and arrange a guaranteed teaching job in a reputable school or language institute. The employer will then give you a competitive local salary, and arrange furnished accommodation near your workplace. Depending on your destination, you may also be entitled to an end of contract bonus and your return flight home, all paid for by your employer.
"I found living and working in a country to be a great way to really get to know a place and its culture. Trying new and exotic foods, picking up some of the language and making some great friends were what I enjoyed most about my experience. I would encourage anyone, to go with an open mind, and have a great year," comments Aisling O Brien who returned from her teaching placement in November last year.
i-to-i’s paid teaching placements are a great opportunity not just for teaching graduates, but all degree graduates to discover the beaches of Thailand, the charming city of Istanbul or beautiful South Korea. All placements run for 6-12 months and are available to native English speaker’s graduates. To apply for a placement visit www.tefl-jobs-abroad.com or speak to a travel advisor on ++353 (0) 58 40050.
If you fancy doing something different this summer, and get paid for the privilege, then now’s your chance. Sign up for an innovative summer vacation youth camp in South Korea. You’ll improve the English skills of South Korean elementary and middle-school children and earn as you go. Camps last for four weeks and are held at various university and youth centre locations in and around Seoul.
South Korea has excellent employment conditions as you will be provided with free accommodation, your return flight home and a salary of €1100.
Short-term contracts are usually hard to come by, so this is an ideal opportunity for the first-time TEFL teacher to get a taste of teaching English overseas.
For those of you that have the travel bug, i-to-i runs TEFL course which is your passport to working and travelling overseas. You don’t need any sort of qualification or experience, and is open to anyone aged 17-70. TEFL diplomas involve an accredited one-weekend course that runs year-round country-wide. You will have the chance to develop new and exciting methods to create your own lessons, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. TEFL courses are given almost every weekend in ten convenient locations all over Ireland including Belfast, Carlow, Dundalk, Donegal, Athlone, Cork, Dublin, Limerick, Galway, Wexford and Waterford. The service is not over when the course is as the i-to-i team will offer their expert guidance and resources to get a job with a database of over 8,500 contacts worldwide.
This April i-to-i is reducing their 40 hour TEFL diploma from €345 to €295. Be quick as classes are limited. To see when the next TEFL course is on in your area visit www.teflireland.com or call i-to-i on ++353 (0) 58 40050.
If you are unsure TEFL or paid teaching placements is for you why not attend an i-to-i information session. The i-to-i team and a TEFL tutor are there to answer all your questions. Up coming information sessions are in Belfast on 8 April. (CD)
