Petrol bomb attack in County Antrim

A number of windows have been broken and one person has been treated in hospital following a petrol bomb attack on a house in Ballymena, County Antrim.

Police have said that a female was alone in the property in the Chiswick Walk area of Dunclug, shortly after 10pm yesterday evening when the attack happened.

She was uninjured during the incident, but was treated in hospital for the effects of smoke inhalation. Minor damage was also caused to the house.

Detectives believe that the attack may be linked to disturbances in the Victoria Park and Camberwell areas on Saturday, when a street brawl broke out and a house was petrol bombed.

Four people were arrested in connection with the trouble, and police have confirmed that two are still being held, while the others were released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

A number of weapons were also seized, including crossbows and fireworks.
