Four arrests in connection with carjacking
Police in south Belfast have appealed for information following a hijacking incident in South Belfast in the early hours of this morning.
Police have said that an unknown male dragged the driver of a white Vauxhall Astra from his vehicle on the Ardmore Park area of the city just after 12.30am, before getting into the driver's seat.
Before he drove off, another man and three females joined him.
The victim wasn't injured but was left badly shaken by the ordeal.
The car was later involved in a collision with another vehicle at the junction of Finaghy Road North and the Andersonstown Road.
One man and three women were arrested at the scene; however, the driver is believed to have escaped by taking a taxi to Colin Glen in west Belfast.
He is described as around 5'10 or 5'11 in height, of skinny build, with shaven red hair and a moustache.
He is also said to have had scarred skin, and was wearing a long sleeved, white coloured t-shirt and dark blue jeans.
Police have asked for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or have any information in connection to the hijacking, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.
