Teenager has ear bitten in Derry assault
A 16-year-old boy has had part of his ear bitten off during an assault in Londonderry.
Police said that the teenager was attacked by a gang of around four of five males in the Glen Road area of the city just before 4.30pm yesterday afternoon.
The victim also suffered minor bruising and was treated in Altnagelvin Hospital for his injuries, however was discharged sometime later.
The motive behind the attack is still unknown, and police have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the attack or have any information in connection with it, to contact detectives in Strand Road on 0845 600 8000, or on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Police Appeal After Man Attacked In Co Antrim
Police are appealing for information after a man was attacked in Ballymena, Co Antrim. The assault happened in the North Road area at around 3.30am on Sunday, 29 January. A gang of four or five men attacked the victim, aged 37. He was taken to hospital where his condition has been described as "serious".

Shankill Road man beaten and run over twice
A man has been attacked while walking his dog on the Shankill Road this morning. The 53-year-old suffered injuries to his head, two broken ribs and five stitches to his ankles during an assault by two men. The pair carried out the assault before they got back into a car and drove over the victim – before reversing back over him.
