Teenager airlifted to hospital after farm incident
A 16-year-old boy was seriously injured during a farm accident in County Antrim yesterday evening.
The teenager was airlifted by police helicopter from the field in Liberty Road in Carrickfergus, to Antrim Area Hospital, where he is being treated for numerous injuries sustained to his upper body.
It is understood that the injuries were caused by an incident involving farm machinery.
The boy has since been transferred to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast, where he is said to be in a serious condition.

Boy Critically Injured In Farm Accident Stable
A boy who was critically injured in a farm accident in north Antrim near Cloughmills is now in a stable condition in hospital, the Belfast Health Trust has confirmed. It is believed the eight-year-old sustained head injuries after falling from a factor on a farm in the Old Frosses Road area on Monday.
