Man charged in connection with Enniskillen rape released on bail
A 49-year-old taxi driver has appeared at Fermanagh Magistrates Court, charged with the rape of a teenager in Enniskillen on Monday.
The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, denies raping the 17-year-old girl.
The detective leading the case old the court that he believed that he could connect the accused, to the crime.
He also said that under defence cross-examination, the taxi driver had claimed that all sexual contact with the girl was with her consent.
The man was released on bail, on the condition that he resides at an address in Belfast and keeps out of County Tyrone and County Fermanagh, except for legal appointments.
The court also instructed him to surrender his passport and to stop working as a taxi driver until he reappears before the court on April 24.

Man Charged With Murder To Appear In Court
A man charged with attempted murder is due to appear at Dungannon Magistrates' Court today. He is believed to have attacked a taxi driver in Dungannon at around 8pm on Saturday. He is also understood to have tried rob the victim. The 30 year old has also been charged with attempted robbery and possession of an offensive weapon.

A test for new taxi drivers is to be introduced later this week, it has been announced. From 31 October, new taxi drivers will be required to pass a Taxi Driver Theory and Practical Driving Test, the DOE has said. The test will affect new entrants to the industry.
