Minister Opens New US Headquarters Of Precision Software

Minister for Trade and Commerce, Michael Ahern, has officially opened the new US headquarters of Precision Software in Chicago, Illinois.

Minister Ahern is in Chicago to participate in the cities St. Patrick Day celebrations and to meet and address the Irish community and local, civic and business leaders.

Precision Software is an indigenous Irish company providing global logistics solutions. Precision moves goods for 900 medium and large scale customer sites in 55 countries world-wide.

Speaking at the official opening of the new headquarters in Chicago Minister Ahern said: “Precision Software is a fine example of the new breed of Irish company which is actively developing business opportunities across the United States. Irish companies now have over 300 offices in 35 States in the US and they employ over 52,000 people. Irish investment in the US has increased ten-fold in the last decade. And more is on the way."

Since Precision first entered the US market four years ago, it has been chalking up annual growth rates in excess of 50 percent. Last year alone, it has won important new customers of the calibre of Tyco Healthcare, Haemonetics, RR Donnelly, Fred Meyer, Jabil Circuits, Hunter Douglas, Speedline Technologies and the Kerry Group.

“The success of the TRAXi3 product, launched last year as its one-stop integrated solution for logistics, reflects the formidable knowledge and expertise that has been built up over the years and Precision’s commitment to maintaining its competitive edge by investing in R&D,” Minister Ahern said.
