Police relaunch appeal to find missing Holywood man
Police have made a fresh appeal for information on the disappearance of missing County Down man, Martin Kelly who should have been celebrating his 22nd birthday today.
CCTV footage has unveiled four images taken from the vicinity of Pat's Bar on the January 1, the day in which Martin was last seen, which police hope to identify.
Although the footage is of poor quality, detectives hope that they may jog someone's memory or assist in identifying the four people featured.
The first image is of a man leaving the side entrance of Pat's Bar just shortly after 7.15pm. Approximately one minute later, a second image shows a male walking in the direction of the River Lagan, close to the CCEA building.
It is unknown if the images are of the same person, and police have stated that the man may be Martin Kelly.
The CCTV pictures have also revealed images of two other men, who police are keen to identify. One is described as a bald headed man, walking through the car park of the Prudential Building Society at around 8.20pm and the second is seen approximately ten minutes later, at 8.30pm, walking from Princes Dock Street, towards Corporation Street.
Detectives involved in the case are also trying to establish Martin's movements for a period of 40 minutes, between 6.30pm and 7.10pm.
It is understood that he left the bar at 6.30pm and declined a lift back to Holywood from a black taxi. He returned to the bar at around 7.10pm, however his whereabouts during this time is unknown.
Police have today revealed that they currently have no evidence that Martin has fallen victim to any crime, and have asked for anyone with any information on the events surrounding his disappearance on New Years Day or even know of his whereabouts, should contact them at Musgrave Station on 0845 600 8000, or on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.
