Two men questioned in connection with woman's murder

Police have confirmed that the discovery of a woman's body in east Belfast on Sunday morning is being treated as murder.

The victim has been named as 51-year-old Elizabeth McNeill and it is understood that the killing may be the result of a domestic matter.

Two men are currently being held for questioning in connection with the woman's death.

Detectives were called to a house on the London Road in the Ravenhill area of the city, at around 10.30am on Sunday.

The murder inquiry was launched yesterday after police received the results of a post mortem examination, however it has not yet been revealed how the woman died.

One man was taken away for questioning shortly after the discovery of the body, and a second man was detained early yesterday.
