Lawyer considers client's 'overexposure'
The lawyer of a senior north Belfast loyalist has warned that he may report the Chief Constable, Sir Hugh Orde, and an unnamed Sunday newspaper editor to the Attorney General for over exposure of his client.
Ihab Shoukri, from Alliance Road, was today remanded on continuing bail charged two counts of being a member of the UDA/UFF.
Defence QC for Mr Shoukri, today told Belfast Crown Court that he would consider taking action after "adverse publicity" appeared in newspapers over the weekend.
He added that the coverage amounted to "outrageous contempt of court," and it breached his clients right to a fair trial.
Legal arguments about Mr Shoukri's trial will be heard on March 29.
