Man stabbed in Dungannon
A racial motive is being examined for the stabbing in Dungannon of a 25-year-old Portuguese man.
Police said that the man was stabbed in the stomach when the victim and a 23-year-old woman were accosted as they got out of a taxi in the Northland Road area at about 2.30am on Sunday morning.
The man's injuries are not thought to be life threatening. The woman also received minor injuries to her face.
It is understood that the pair were attacked by several people and a scuffle ensued.

A 61-year-old man has been stabbed while out walking his dog in Londonderry on Tuesday. The victim was walking his dog along a laneway near the Springtown Industrial Estate when two men approached him. They asked the man for a cigarette before one of the assailants lunged at him and stabbed him in the chest.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Man Stabbed In Ballymena
A man in his 30s has been stabbed in Ballymena, Co Antrim. The victim sustained a serious stab wound as he attended a house party at a property in the Argenta Walk area in the early hours of Monday morning. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening. It is believed there had been an altercation and a number of males fled the property.

A man, aged in his 50s, is being treated in hospital following a stabbing attack in Craigavon. The assault happened in the Derrytrasna Lane area at around 7.40pm on Monday, 18 December. The victim sustained injuries to his neck, face and abdomen, however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Man stabbed in Co Tyrone assault
A man was stabbed and three others injured following an assault in Co Tyrone at the weekend. It is believed that up to eight people tracked the group of three men and one woman as they left a bar in William Street, Dungannon, at around 1.20am on Sunday morning. The group, who were all from Coalisland, were then attacked in Irish Street.
