Man questioned in connection with Ulster Bank robbery
Police are questioning a man being held in connection with inquiries into the robbery of a bank at Carlisle Circus.
Police said that arrest had been made following a series of searches in north Belfast. A number of items have been seized for examination.
A bank employee's family were held hostage and he was forced to take money from the Ulster Bank branch at Carlisle Circus.
A substantial sum of money, thought to around £200,000, was taken.

Police are warning of the dangers of becoming a money mule after the amount of teenagers misusing their bank accounts increased by 73% in just two years. Parents, guardians and schools across Northern Ireland are urged to speak to the youths in their care about the risk of such activity in light of the shocking figures.

Homes Evacuated In Antrim Road Security Alert
A number of homes have been evacuated after a suspicious device was discovered in north Belfast today, 26 October. Police are at the property on St James Mews off the Antrim Road, which has been closed up to Carlisle Circus as a result.

New NI Bank Notes In Circulation
New bank notes have been released into circulation in Northern Ireland. The £10 and £20 notes are being issued from Danske Bank and will gradually replace the existing Northern Bank notes. The design of the notes remains the same, the only difference is the Danske Bank logo has replaced the Northern Bank logo.

Northern Bank To Be Rebranded
Danske Bank has announced a new organisational set-up for its operations in Northern Ireland and Ireland. The new structure will take effect on 1 June 2012. The re-organisation mirrors a similar Group wide set-up being introduced in all Danske Bank operations.
