Woman attacked in Portadown robbery
Detectives have appealed for information after a 19-year-old woman was attacked during a robbery in County Armagh.
The woman was walking along an alleyway near Corcrain Drive in the Portadown area at around 7.30pm when a man approached her from behind.
As the woman turned around, she was punched in the face and the man then proceeded to grab her handbag.
As she tried to hold onto the bag, she was punched again and fell to the ground.
The robber then made off in the direction of Ballybay Avenue with the black canvas bag, which contained a sum of cash and a number of personal items.
The attacker is described as being in his late twenties or early thirties, around 5' 8" in height and well built.
He is believed to have been wearing a dark-coloured monkey hat, a navy fleece with the collar turned up and blue jeans.
Police have appealed for anyone with any information on the attack to contact them at Strand town on 0845 600 8000, or on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Pensioner attacked during burglary of her home

The youth then assaulted the elderly woman before escaping into an alley at the back of the house. Police believe an accomplice then joined the assailant.

Woman Found Unconscious On Co Down Road
A woman has been found unconscious on a road in County Down. The woman, aged in her 50s, was discovered on the Sheepland Road at around 4.30am on Sunday. She was taken to hospital where she is believed to be in a serious condition.

A man has been arrested after attacking a man and a woman during a robbery in L'Derry. Three man entered a flat on the Northland Road in the early yours of Saturday morning. A man and woman were assaulted, and the man was also hit in the face with a gun. The men made off with a sum of cash, Christmas presents and two mobile phones.

Man arrested after woman dies in collision
A 61-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal road accident in County Down. A woman, believed to be in her 50s, was hit by a vehicle on the Comber Road in Newtownards at about 9.45pm last night. The victim’s name has not yet been released.
