Chase Away The Winter Blue’s With Camp America’s Recritment Fairs

The organisation which successfully sent more than 8,000 people to work on US Summer Camps in 2005 is holding a recruitment fair in Belfast at the SAS Radison on Wednesday 1st March and is inviting anyone over the age of 18 years old to come along to the event and meet Directors of the Camps and gain employment on the day!

Individuals who are interested in working with young people are encouraged to apply for Camp Counsellor positions where they can earn up to $1000. If they have skills, experience or qualifications in teaching a sport or an activity Camp America will match them with one of the Camps appearing at the recruitment fair.

For those individuals wishing to undertake a summer in America but don’t want to work directly with young people Campower positions are available working behind the scenes in the kitchens or on grounds maintenance, paying up to $1,200.

Camps from across the US will have representatives at the fair offering opportunities to work for between 9-12 weeks at residential or day camps, with able bodied or disabled young people, at inner city or rural camps, and religious based camps.

All are set in beautiful locations and offer excellent facilities for both campers and Camp America Participants alike. For anyone wishing to attend the fair they can either pre register for the fair by going onto the Camp America website at www.campamerica.co.uk or simply turn up on the day to find out more!

When attending a fair individuals have the opportunity to attend a presentation about camp before moving on to the skilling and applications sections.

ere Camp America staff are on hand to help with people’s application forms and advise on what placements might be suitable.
