Postal workers strike for a second day
Postal workers in Belfast have continued with their unofficial strike for the second day running.
Both Royal Mail management and staff have admitted to wanting to resolve the ongoing dispute, but unfortunately this does not look likely to happen over the next few days.
Over 200 Royal Mail employees at the Tomb Street depot in Belfast began their strike yesterday over disagreements on disciplinary procedures.
This has resulted in delivery routes in north, south and west Belfast not having any mail delivered for a second day.
Union officials are set to meet with management to discuss ways to resolve the situation, and it has been reported that workers will not return to work until the issue has been dealt with.
Royal Mail has said that they have made contingency plans to accommodate 11+ students expecting results this weekend.
