Three treated for smoke inhalation following house fire
Two young children had to be treated for the effects of smoke inhalation after a fire in a West Belfast house on Sunday morning.
A four-year-old boy and his 15-month old sister were asleep in an upstairs room of the house in Colinview Street when the blaze was reported by a passer-by who spotted smoke.
It is understood that a male relative who was looking after the children was overcome by fumes and he has also received treatment for the effects of smoke inhalation.
Police believe that the fire started in a wheelie bin at the back of the house at around 7.40am.
Police are treating the fire as suspicious and want to speak to anyone in the area of Colinview Street who noticed any suspicious activity.
