Crossmaglen school closed after fire

A County Armagh school has been damaged in an attack by arsonists.

Fire crews were called to deal with a blaze discovered in the kitchen of St Joseph's secondary school on the Dundalk road at around 3am on Monday morning.

A window had apparently been smashed and police suspect an arson attack.

The school is to remain closed on Monday and an investigation is ongoing.

There is understood to be water and smoke damage in the kitchen and the canteen, but the rest of the building was undamaged.
