Man arrested in connection with attempted murder
Police in Armagh have arrested a man on suspicion of attempted murder.
The incident happened at around 8pm last night in the Creevroe area of the town.
A man was later taken to hospital with injuries to his upper arm.
Meanwhile in County Down, a 17-year-old has been attacked twice as he walked through Bangor.
In the first incident, a gingered haired female attacked the youth at around 1.30am in the High Street area of the town. However, she fled when he fought back to defend himself.
A short time later, the teenager was attacked for a second time, by a gang of up to five men on the Victoria Road. He was left with injuries to his face and mouth.
Police have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed either incident to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Police attacked in west Belfast
Police in west Belfast have been attacked by youths throwing petrol bombs and other missiles during a number of disturbances yesterday evening. The first incident happened at around 6.25pm, when three petrol bombs were thrown at police vehicles on the Springfield Road area of the city. No damaged was caused and no injuries were reported.

Man attacked in sectarian incident
Police believe an assault on a man at his east Belfast home on Monday was sectarian. The incident occurred at the man’s house in Jocelyn Street at around 1am. The victim opened the front door of his house where he was confronted by four men dressed in black and armed with sticks.

Man Arrested Following Incident At House In Coleraine
A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an incident at a house in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. It happened at a property on Knockantern Grove in the Mountsandel area on Tuesday, 16 August. The suspect has been arrested on suspicion of possessing of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an offence and assault on police.

Man Abducted And Attacked In Lisburn
Three masked men have abducted and attacked a man in Lisburn. The incident happened in the general area of the Saintfield Road and Ballynahinch Road in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The 22-year-old victim was struck on the head and bundled into a car.
