Woman targeted in armed robbery

A 56-year-old woman has been targeted in an armed robbery in her home in Tandragee.

Around five masked men broke into the woman's house on the Clare Road at around 9.45pm, and entered her bedroom before threatening her with a gun.

The men, who are believed to have spoken with a foreign accent, ordered the woman into the kitchen before raiding her house.

The robbers are thought to have escaped in a car or another vehicle shortly after 10pm.

Police have asked for anyone who may have been in the Newry or Armagh road at the time, or noticed a car or other vehicle joining the road at the Clare Road junction, to contact them.

Detectives believe that this attack may be connected to the robbery of a 78-year-old woman in the same area last week.
