Postmistress foils armed robbery
A County Fermanagh woman has been left shaken following an attempted robbery in a post office.
Two masked men armed with a sawn off shotgun, entered the premises on the Killadeas Road in Enniskillen and demanded money.
The postmistress pressed an alarm button and the robbers made their escape.
Detectives have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
Meanwhile, police in West Belfast have arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with a robbery at a jewellery store in the city before Christmas.
The 25-year-old man was arrested in relation to the robbery, which occurred in the Westwood Centre on December 6 2005.
He is currently assisting police with their inquiries.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Robber’s gun jams during Castlewellan hold-up
During an armed robbery in a County Down shop, a 19-year-old woman has had a gun held to her head and the trigger pulled several times without the gun firing. The incident occurred when a masked man brandishing a gun burst into McAnulty’s store in Castlewellan’s main street on Wednesday March 27 around 11.20pm.

Four arrested after police foil robbery
Four men have been arrested during a police operation in south Belfast. The men were detained after detectives foiled a robbery at the Northern Bank at Finaghy this morning. A planned operation was mounted and it is understood officers moved in as cash was about to be transferred from a van.
