Five to appear in court in connecton with Bangor robbery

Five youths are to appear in Downpatrick Magistrates Court today charged in connection with the robbery of an off-licence in Bangor on Tuesday night.

Two youths, who entered the premises on the Rathgael Road, assaulted two female members of staff before making off with a sum of money and alcohol.

Five people arrested shortly after the incident and have since been charged.

A police spokesperson has revealed that three of the accused are charged with robbery and aggravated vehicle taking, one is charged with robbery and other motoring offences and a fifth man is charged with theft.

A man is to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court today, 19 April, charged with a robbery at an off-licence in north Belfast. The incident happened at premises on the Crumlin Road at around 7.35pm on Sunday. The man, armed with a knife, threatened staff and made off with a quantity of cigarettes and alcohol.

Man to appear in court following Lisburn robbery
An 18-year-old man is due to appear in Lisburn Magistrates Court today, charged with robbery and grievous bodily harm. The charge is believed to be in relation to an incident in the Benson Street area of the town yesterday afternoon, when a woman was assaulted and robbed.

Lawyer considers client's 'overexposure'
The lawyer of a senior north Belfast loyalist has warned that he may report the Chief Constable, Sir Hugh Orde, and an unnamed Sunday newspaper editor to the Attorney General for over exposure of his client. Ihab Shoukri, from Alliance Road, was today remanded on continuing bail charged two counts of being a member of the UDA/UFF.
