Motorist killed in collision near Banbridge
One person has been killed following a serious road traffic incident on the A1, two miles outside Banbridge.
It is understood that a man, who has not yet been named, was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a collision between a lorry and a car at around 7.00am. The man later died in hospital.
The road between Banbridge and Dromore was closed in both directions for a time and temporary traffic diversions were put in place, while police examined the scene.
Drivers were told to expect delays on surrounding rural roads due to diverted traffic.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a serious road traffic collision in Newcastle, Co Down. The Ballagh Road has been closed and motorists are being advised to avoid the area.
