Ballymena woman's body found in house
The body of a Co. Antrim woman is believed to have lain undiscovered in her house for up to three weeks.
Police discovered the body of the woman in the living room of the house in Shetland Gardens, Ballykeel, Ballymena, yesterday after being alerted by neighbours who said they had not seen the woman for some time.
The woman, who has not yet been named, is believed to have been in her 60's and had lived alone.
A PSNI spokesperson described it as a tragic case, especially as she may have been there throughout the Christmas period.
Police say they are investigating the cause of death, a post mortem examination is being carried out, but it is not thought the death is suspicious.
