Petrol bomb attack on home
The home of a Catholic family in Londonderry has been targeted in what police believe to be a sectarian attack.
A petrol bomb was thrown at the house in the mainly Protestant Clooney Estate in the Waterside area of the city just before midnight last night. The device hit the step of the house on Lapwing Way, but only caused minor damage to the property.
At least one family member is believed to have been inside the house when the attack happened, however no one was hurt.
This is the second petrol bomb attack on a house in the Waterside area within two days.
On Wednesday evening, a Protestant family escaped injury when a device thrown at their home in the Fountain estate caused scorch damage.
Detectives have asked anyone who may have details on either attack to come forward.
