Civil servant pleads guilty to indecent pictures charge
A man pleaded guilty in Londonderry Crown Court today to charges of making indecent photographs of a child.
John Reginald Bond, 45, a civil servant from Fergleen Park in the Galliagh area of the city, admitted to the charge which dated back to February 2004.
He also admitted to 24 similar charges during his court appearance.
Bond was released on continuing bail and was ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register.

A Londonderry man has been jailed for 11 years after being found guilty of a series of sex charges against teenage girls. The 43-year-old man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was sentenced at Londonderry Crown Court today after being found guilty of 31 offences included two charges of raping his daughter.

Former DUP leader Jeffrey Donaldson is set to stand trial for 18 historical sex offences, including one charge of rape. Donaldson and his wife Eleanor appeared at Newry Magistrates' Court today, 03 July. The charges against Donaldson include 13 counts of indecent assault on a female child and four counts of gross indecency toward a child.

A fourth man has appeared in court today in connection with one of the biggest drugs hauls ever in Ireland. Perry Wharrie, 47, of an address at 60 Pryles Lane in Essex, appeared before Dunmanway District Court today charged with possession of cocaine for supply on July 2.
