Police appeal over armed robbery in West Belfast
Police in West Belfast have appealed for information following a robbery at a bookmaker's premises on the Andersonstown Rd on Saturday afternoon December 10.
Police said that shortly before 3.45pm two men with scarves pulled up over their faces, one armed with a handgun the other a knife, entered the premises, which is situated opposite Moreland Park and close to Dunmisk Park.
One of the robbers then went behind the counter and ordered a member of staff to fill a bag with money. The robbers then fled with a sum of cash.
The robber, armed with the gun, is described as being around 5ft 9in in height and between 25-30 years old. He wore light blue jeans, a navy blue jacket, a navy blue baseball cap and had a black scarf over his face.
The second robber armed with a knife is described as being around 25-30 years old, 6 feet in height of thin build. He also was wearing blue jeans, a navy top, a navy baseball cap and had a scarf over his face.
Anyone who either witnessed this robbery or saw two men matching the above descriptions either prior to the robbery or who observed them making their escape with a black bag is urged to contact detectives at Grosvenor Rd on 0845 600 8000 or by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

Woman threatened during armed robbery
A female shop assistant was threatened with a knife during an armed robbery at a convenience store in south Belfast last night. At around 7.20pm, a youth entered the shop on the Upper Lisburn Road and produced a large kitchen knife. He then ordered the staff member to open a till before leaving with a sum of cash.

Police are appealing for information following an attempted armed robbery at a shop in Ballymena, Co Antrim. The incident occurred at a shop in the Larne Road area just after 7.40pm on Wednesday. A masked man armed with a knife demanded a staff member to open the till. However, the employee threw water over him and he made off empty handed.

WWII Device Made Safe In Lough Foyle
A World War II device found in Lough Foyle has been made safe, the PSNI have confirmed. A police spokesperson revealed Royal Navy clearance divers carried out a controlled explosion on Wednesday, 12 September, after the device was discovered in the Lough close to the Campsie area of L'Derry.

Woman Rescued From Cliff Path In Co Antrim
A woman has been rescued from the Gobbins cliff path in Islandmagee, Co Antrim. The Coastguard discovered the woman injured at the bottom of the cliffs at around 8.40pm on Tuesday. She was winced by a Royal Navy Search and Rescue helicopter from Prestwick. She was taken to a hospital in Belfast for treatment however her condition is not yet known.
