Staff robbed by armed men

Staff at a sports shop in south Belfast have been robbed by two men, one armed with a hand gun and the other a stun gun.

The robbers tied up three members of staff in an upstairs office of the premises on the Boucher Road.

The men escaped with an undisclosed sum of money from a safe.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.

Elsewhere, armed robbers have made off with a substantial quantity of cigarettes following a robbery of a retail warehouse in north Belfast on Friday.

Four masked robbers entered the Harbour Estate late on Friday evening and forced the staff at gunpoint to open the warehouse.

The four men forced staff to load a vehicle, marked Centra/Supervalu which police said was later found abandoned in the Carryduff area.

A Belfast city centre Pizza Hut restaurant was robbed by armed men yesterday. Two armed men entered the Dublin Road eating place at around 10.45pm last night and held one member of staff at gunpoint.

Security Guard Tied Up During Robbery In North Belfast
A security guard has been tied up during a robbery in north Belfast. Three men, one armed with a gun, robbed a shop on the Oldpark Road just before 3.30am on Wednesday, 23 August. The suspects stole and made off in a black Volkwagen Jetta that was parked in the area. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Off-Licence Robbed By Men Armed With Hammers
Licensed premises in east Belfast has been robbed by two armed men with hammers. The incident happened at around 9.15pm last night at Russell's Cellars on the Castlereagh Road. The men threatened a female member of staff and made off on foot with a sum of money. Police confirmed the woman was not injured.

Fast food van robbed at knifepoint
Police in Downpatrick are appealing for information after an armed robbery yesterday evening. Just before 8.30pm, two men, one armed with a knife, approached a fast food van on the Dundrum Road in Newcastle. The men threatened staff and demanded that they hand over a sum of cash.
