Police release four people in murder investigation

Police investigating the murder of a man in Armagh last week have released four people without charge.

Martin Conlon, 35, from Railway Street in the city, was found shot at Farnaloy Road outside Keady on 7 November.

A fifth person is still being questioned by police about the killing which is being linked to dissident republicans. Mr Conlon had previously served a four-year sentence after being arrested at a Real IRA training camp.

Police also confirmed that a homophobic motive was one line of inquiry.

Detectives investigating the murder returned to the scene of the crime on Monday and carried out a partial reconstruction in a bid to piece together the circumstances surrounding the killing and identify new witnesses.
