Police investigate building site plant theft
Police in Dungannon are investigating the theft of over £4,500 worth of equipment from a building site at Fivemiletown on Wednesday.
Property stolen included a generator, a power washer and a whacker plate.
Detectives said they are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity around the building site at around 8.15am when the theft was discovered.
They would also like to hear from anyone who may be offered similar items for sale from a dubious source.

Primary School Building Site Vandalised
Police have issued a safety warning after a primary school building site was vandalised in Dromore. The site is located on the Mossvale Road. Police also received reports that youths were on scaffolding. Inspector Leslie Badger posted on PSNI Banbridge Facebook: "Building sites are not playgrounds.

Second Irish Construction Death
A 52-year-old man has been killed in what has turned out to be the second Irish construction site death in one day. This latest accident was at a building site on the Ormeau Road in south Belfast. It is understood a forklift truck was involved in the incident, and was reported at just before 12pm today, Wednesday.

Man Arrested In Connection With Fuel Theft
A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of diesel theft from a property in the Ballymagorry area of Strabane last night, Tuesday, 11th October. The arrest followed the report of alleged diesel theft from an address on Ballyheather Road shortly after 10pm where a red Berlingo van was also found at the address and abandoned.

ATM Robbery Bid Fails
In the third such incident in Northern Ireland in the last few days, thieves have again used a digger to try to steal a cash machine from outside a shop in Co Down. The latest was reported at about 3.30am on Wednesday. The ATM in Ardglass had been removed from the wall but was left at the scene by the failed robbers.
