Ammunition recovered in west Belfast

Approximately 220 rounds of ammunition have been recovered by police following searches in west Belfast.

The searches were carried out in an area of bog land near the Falls Road on Monday and Wednesday.

All recovered items have been removed for further examination.

Elsewhere, a woman has been charged in connection with a drugs seizure in Co Down.

Around 2,000 ecstasy tablets were found in car which was stopped on the M1 motorway between the Saintfield Road and Sprucefield off-slips.

The 26-year-old is expected to appear before Craigavon Magistrates Court on Thursday charged with possessing the drug and intending to supply it.

Man arrested after Fermanagh drugs find
A man has been arrested by police following a major drugs find in County Fermanagh yesterday evening. Detectives recovered around 200 suspected ecstasy tablets and suspected diazepam tablets from an address in the Irvinestown Road area of Enniskillen. The man, aged in his 20's, is currently assisting police with their inquiries.

Three men arrested in joint terrorist operation
Three men have been arrested in England following a police investigation into terrorist activity by dissident republicans. The arrests, under the Prevention of Terrorism Act, were made in the north of England following searches in Lancashire, West Yorkshire, and London.
