Man stabbed in Dungannon incident

Police in Dungannon are appealing for information after a man was stabbed in a serious assault during the early hours of Sunday morning.

The 23-year-old victim was walking through a carpark at Greers Way at around 3.15am when he was approached from behind by two males who stabbed him in the neck and ran off.

The victim was taken to hospital were he is said to be in a stable condition.

Detectives say the area was busy with people returning home and are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident to contact them.

Man stabbed in Dungannon
A racial motive is being examined for the stabbing in Dungannon of a 25-year-old Portuguese man. Police said that the man was stabbed in the stomach when the victim and a 23-year-old woman were accosted as they got out of a taxi in the Northland Road area at about 2.30am on Sunday morning. The man's injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Man Stabbed At Belfast Contact Centre
An arrest has been made after a disturbance in a Belfast office this afternoon, during which a man was stabbed. A PSNI spokesperson said the incident occurred at around 2pm at a Contact Centre in Lanyon Place. The man was taken to the Royal Victorial Hospital with two stab wounds to his neck. His condition is not known at present.

Fire In Dungannon Leaves Car 'Completely Gutted'
An investigation has launched after a fire in Dungannon left a car "completely gutted". Police received a report of a fire in the Old English Road shortly before 11pm on Tuesday, 13 April. The PSNI attended the scene and are working to establish the cause of the fire. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

One Killed In Serious Motorway Crash
One person has died and another seriously injured following a two-vehicle crash on the M1 near Dungannon, County Tyrone. The crash, between a car and a lorry, happened just after 5pm on Monday. The motorway was closed in both directions, however it has now re-opened. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

250 Jobs Lost Following Peacocks Closures
Hundreds of jobs are to be lost in Northern Ireland as a retailer closes the doors of 19 stores across the country. The clothing retailer, Peacocks, has said that the closures will lead to more than 250 job losses in total.
