Semi-conscious woman rescued from house fire
A semi-conscious woman has been rescued from a house fire in Londonderry on Friday.
The alarm was raised after a taxi-driver saw smoke coming from the woman's house in the Galliagh area just after 7am.
When the fire service arrived a fire crew made its way into the property were they found the woman semi-conscious on the first floor of her bedroom.
She was given first aid before being taken to hospital and treated for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the blaze is currently under investigation.

ASSEMBLY CREATE AWARD TO HONOUR FIRE SERVICE
THE Northern Ireland Fire Service is to receive the first ever award given by the province's devolved assembly. An illuminated scroll is to be presented to Chief Fire Officer John McClelland on Tuesday, by assembly speaker Lord Alderdice in tribute to the sacrifice made by fire fighters over the years.

Fatal House Fire In Newtownards
A woman in her 30s has died in a fire at a house in Newtownards, Co. Down. The fire occurred at a house in Ilex Avenue at around 5.30pm and the woman is reported to have died at the scene. An investigation into the circumstances of the death is being conducted by police who have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

Two Teens Die In Co Down Road Crash
Two teenagers have been killed and another is in a critical condition in hospital after a car crashed into a wall in Rostrevor, Co Down. The vehicle left the Kilbroney Road, hit a wall and landed in a field just before midnight on Monday. It also struck the wall of a house and a home heating oil tank caught fire, leaving the house badly damaged.

Pregnant Woman's Death 'Not Suspicious'
A pregnant woman, aged in her 20s, has died in a house fire in Ballycastle, Co Antrim. Emergency crews attended the scene in the Whitepark Road area on Tuesday, 03 October. The woman died at the scene. Her death is not being treated as suspicious.
