Two men arrested in connection with fatal stabbing

Two men have been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a schoolboy in north Belfast last month.

Thomas Devlin, 15, was walking along the Somerton Road, off the Antrim Road, after buying sweets from a nearby petrol station when the incident occurred.

A friend of the victim who was with him at the time was also injured in the attack, however his injuries were not believed to be life threatening.

A police spokeswoman said both men were arrested in north Belfast - one on Tuesday night and the other on Wednesday.

Detectives confirmed the prime suspects in the investigation are still two young men with a black and white dog.

Police foil attempted kidnapping and robbery
Two men have been arrested following an attempted kidnapping and robbery in north Belfast earlier today. A quantity of cash was recovered by officers during the operation to foil the kidnap and robbery plot, which was launched by police last night. No one was injured during the incident. There are no further details.

Two Men Arrested Over Bomb Found In West Belfast Released
Two men arrested in connection with a bomb found during a security alert in west Belfast have been released unconditionally. A viable bomb was discovered on the Brian's Well Road in Poleglass on Sunday, 15 January. Police said the device was designed to "kill or seriously" injure officers serving in the local community.
