Police appeal following armed robbery

Police have appealed for information following a robbery in west Belfast on Tuesday.

At around 11.20am a security guard was leaving the Lidl Store on the Stewardstown when he was approached by a man armed with a knife. The guard was forced to hand over a cash box to the robber who then made off on in a black Nissan Primera.

This vehicle was later recovered at Willowvale Avenue close to its junction with Suffolk Crescent.

Man Arrested Over Armed Robbery In West Belfast
A man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in west Belfast. The robbery happened at a shop on Caffrey Avenue at around 9.30pm on Tuesday, 27 February. The suspect threatened a member of staff and made off with a sum of cash and cigarettes. He was arrested on Wednesday, 28 February, and has been detained in police custody.

Guard injured during armed robbery
Detectives in County Down have appealed for information following an armed robbery at a Post Office yesterday afternoon. The incident happened shortly after 3pm, when a security guard from a cash in transit van, was approached and threatened by a man. The robber then stabbed the guard in the hand, before making off with an empty cash box.

Security guard threatened in armed robbery
Detectives are appealing for information following an armed robbery outside a bank in Crumlin, Co Antrim on Monday. At around 2.30pm a man, armed with a gun, approached a security guard as he was making a delivery to a bank at Main Street.
