Three injured in paramilitary-style attack
Three men have been treated in hospital following a paramilitary style attack in Newtownards, Co Down on Tuesday.
The victims, all aged in their late teens or early 20s, were shot once in the lower leg in the attack at Dakota Avenue in the mainly loyalist West Winds estate in Newtownards.
Elsewhere, youths have attacked a family of swans trapped in a stream in west Belfast.
A local resident saw the youths throwing stones at the birds on Tuesday and immediately contacted a wildlife expert who in turn called the fire brigade to help with the rescue.
The birds were later returned to the nearby Springfield Dam however least one of the birds is believed to have been injured in the attack.

Youths attack police in west Belfast
Police are appealing for information after officers were attack by around 100 youths in west Belfast yesterday evening. The incident occurred in the Albert Street area of the Falls Road at around 6.30pm following reports of dangerous driving. When officers arrived a gang of around 70 youths began throwing stones and other missiles at police.

Man Shot In Co L'Derry
A man has been shot in the ankle in Co L'Derry. The paramilitary-style attack happened near the Creggan shops at around 7.45pm on Thursday, 07 December. The 41-year-old man has been taken to hospital to be treated, however his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Police described the shooting as "brutal and horrific".

Man Shot In The Legs In North Belfast
A man has been shot in the legs in north Belfast. The paramilitary-style attack happened in the Jamaica Street area on Sunday, 25 June. The man was taken to hospital, however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Investigation Launched After Thieves Break Into Cars During Carol Service
Police have launched an investigation after thieves broke into a number of cars outside a church during a carol service. The thefts occurred in the Mullabrack Road area between 6.30pm and 9.30pm on Thursday, 08 December.
