Two die in separate road accidents

Two people have died in separate road accidents overnight.

In the latest incident, a pedestrian died in a road accident on Crankhill Road, Ballymena, at about 3.40am on Tuesday.

In Lisburn, meanwhile, police have appealed for information after a man in his 20s died in a crash on the Front Road, Drumbo, just after 5pm on Monday.

Two vehicles are believed to have been involved in the collision and police want to speak to the driver of a white transit van, which passed the scene.

Two people have died following separate road accidents in Counties Down and Fermanagh on Tuesday. In the first accident a man died following a crash between two cars on the main Belfast to Holywood road shortly after 5.30pm. He died in hospital a short time later.

Woman and child die in separate road accidents
Police are appealing for information after a woman and child died in two separate road accidents overnight. In Belcoo, Co Fermanagh, a three-year-old girl died after being hit by a car. The accident happened on the Railway Road at around 9.15pm on Monday. The girl is the third child to die on Northern Ireland's roads this year.
