N7 Service Station promises 100 jobs

Monasterevin in Co Kildare looks set to gain Ireland's first fully serviced motorway rest on the N7 in a development which will create around 100 jobs.

The service station development, which is 25 miles (40km) from Dublin on the main Dublin to Limerick road, will include a hotel, truck park, and food outlets will be similar to other such developments across Europe.

The service station and related facilities are expected to provide 100 jobs on completion of the complex with up to 100 jobs during the construction phase of the main property development.

Both Kildare councillors and the local community development association have broadly welcomed the major development, the first in the south Kildare area in almost 50 years.
