HSENI launch new information pack

Accessing health and safety information has been made easier thanks to a new initiative launched by HSENI in partnership with the Education and Library Boards.

An information pack will be available in every library and mobile library allowing the public to access an extensive range of health and safety booklets and the recently launched Info 4U disk containing key health and safety information in a variety of formats.

Dermot Breen, HSENI’s Deputy Chief Executive, said: “As the regional authority for health and safety in Northern Ireland, HSENI is fully committed to the delivery of quality health and safety services that are responsive, customer focused, accessible and targeted to achieve maximum impact where it counts.

"Providing information to people in their local areas in this way helps to reach a wide cross section of people, be they employers, employees, union representatives, students or members of the public.”

Welcoming the move, Helen Osborn, Chief Librarian of the Western Education and Library Board said: “The five Boards are delighted to be working in partnership with HSENI.

"With more than seven million visits to libraries across Northern Ireland each year this initiative really will make health and safety information available to everyone.”

Members of the public can obtain their copy of the Info 4U disk, or any of HSENI’s current range of leaflets, by contacting HSENI on free phone 0800 0320 121.
