Pipe bomb attacks treated as 'attempted murder'
Police have said they are treating two pipe bomb attacks in Co Antrim on Monday as murder attempts.
In the first attack, a device exploded shattering the window of a van parked in Rosemount in Cloughmills at around 4.30am.
A short time later, a second device thrown at a house in nearby Cypress Park, exploded showering glass over the living room.
Both areas were cordoned off for a time while Army technical experts examined the scenes. No one was injured in either attack.
Meanwhile, one of four men being questioned over a shooting in north Belfast has been released without charge.
The victim, who is seriously ill in hospital, was shot in the chest at Glenside Park in the Crumlin Road area of the city at about 6am on Sunday.
The police have linked the shooting to the ongoing feud between the UVF and LVF.
Elsewhere, six men arrested in connection with a 28-year-old man last month have been released without charge.
It is understood the arrests were linked to the murder of Stephen Paul who was shot on Saturday, 30 July as a result of the ongoing feud which has so far claimed the lives of three men.
Around 40 police officers were injured during disturbances which followed the arrests.
