Filling station workers locked in garage during armed robbery
Two filling station workers have been treated for shock after an armed man locked them in a garage in Co Londonderry.
The masked man who was armed with a handgun entered the petrol station on Desertmartin Road in Tobermore at about 10pm on Monday.
He forced the two staff members into the garage before making off with a sum of cash.
The assailant is described as being 6ft in height with a skinny build.
Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them on 028 9065 0222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
Meanwhile, police in east Belfast are warning elderly people to be on the lookout following a spate of robberies by bogus callers recently.
Men claiming to be from the Water Service have called at homes in the Clara Wood, Willow Home and Inverary areas over the last few days.
The individuals said they had to make checks, but when they left, residents noticed that valuables and money were missing.
Detectives have warned residents to always ask for identification before letting someone into their home.

Approximately 50 construction jobs are to be created as part of a £50million project to develop 900 new homes in Comber, Co Down. Northern Ireland homebuilders Hagan Homes has started construction work on the first phase of the 'Enler Village' site on the Newtownards Road, which includes the development of 17 new homes.

Police Station Alert Discovered To Be A Hoax
A security alert has ended after a suspicious object found in a car close to an east Belfast police station was declared an "elaborate hoax". Residents in the Woodstock Road area had to evacuate their homes at about 21:00 on Sunday evening, while nearby Church services were also interrupted.

Officers Hurt In Police Station Alert
Five officers have been slightly injured following a car crash with a suspect vehicle in north Belfast. The PSNI said it happened when a car was seen to be driven in a suspicious manner at the back of Antrim Road police station at about 11pm on Thursday.

Pipe bomb explodes near police station
A pipe bomb has exploded close to Strabane police station and the PSNI believe it was the work of dissident republicans. The device exploded at the back of the station at around 9.15pm last night.
