11-year-old girl dies following car accident
An 11-year-old girl who was struck by a car in Co Down last week has died in hospital.
The victim was walking along the Whitechurch Road, between Millisle and Ballywalter, last Thursday when the accident occurred.
The girl's sister, who was with her at the time, was also injured in the incident however her condition is described as comfortable. The driver of the car, meanwhile, was treated for minor injuries.
Police have appealed for anyone with information on the incident to contact them.

The baby girl, from the Republic of Ireland, was in a car with her two brothers, her childminder and her childminder's daughter, when it collided with a fire engine. A teenage girl has died after a road traffic accident in County Down. The accident happened on the Katesbridge Road near Banbridge at about 8pm on Sunday February 17. Two cars were involved in the collision. Meanwhile two men are recovering from wounds to a leg after being attacked in Larne, County Antrim on Sunday February 17.

Teenager Killed In L'Derry Crash
A teenage girl has died in a car accident in L'Derry. The two-vehicle crash occurred at around 5pm on Sunday. The 13-year-old is believed to have been from County Donegal. The road has been re-opened.

Investigation Launched Following Suspected Hit And Run In East Belfast
An investigation has been launched following a suspected hit and run collision in east Belfast. A woman and a young girl were knocked down at a pedestrian crossing on the Newtownards Road at around 8pm on Wednesday, 10 January. The black car failed to stay at the scene and made off in the direction of Dundonald.

Motorcyclist Is Latest Road Victim
One motorcyclist died and another has been injured in separate accidents yesterday, the police have said. Sunday's most serious incident saw a motorcyclist being fatally injured when his motorcycle crashed at North Queen Street, at its junction with Seaview Street in north Belfast, at about 10.30pm.
