'High risk' prisoner re-arrested
A high-risk prisoner who absconded from Lisburn Courthouse on June 7 has been re-arrested by police this morning.
David Albert Taggart, 24, had been on the run for over a month after he attacked civilian security guards and fled from the courthouse building. He had been due to appear in Lisburn court to answer charges of attempted murder and making threats to kill.
Taggart, originally from the Belfast's Shankill area, was arrested by Lisburn police officers this morning in the Antrim Road area of Belfast at around 6am.
PSNI Chief Superintendent Ken Henning said: "The re-arrest of David Taggart is as a result of very intensive policing. I commend all those involved in the capture of this high-risk prisoner."

'High risk' prisoner escapes from courthouse
A man described by police as a 'high risk' prisoner has escaped from a courthouse in Co Antrim on Tuesday. Two security officers were injured during the incident, which happened at approximately 1.35pm at Lisburn Courthouse. The man who absconded has been named as David Albert Taggart, 24.

Arrest Over Hijacking & Common Assault
Police investigating a series of incidents in County Antrim and Down on Saturday 01 June have arrested a 31-year-old man. It follows a number of disturbances in the Newcastle, Lisburn, Carryduff and west Belfast areas. The man was detained on suspicion of hijacking and common assault. He remains in police custody this morning, Wednesday 05 June.

Appeal Issued For Missing Lisburn Man Thomas McKeown
The PSNI in Lisburn have issued an appeal for help in tracing the whereabouts of Thomas McKeown. The 52-year-old was last seen at around 11.12am in the centre of Lisburn on Tuesday 11 June. Police said that Thomas is a "vulnerable adult" and they are keen to trace his current whereabouts.
