Vandals damage cars in Downpatrick
Police in Downpatrick are appealing for witnesses after a number of vehicles were broken into and damaged over the weekend.
In the most recent incident a BMW car parked in Windmill Avenue was damaged during the early hours of Monday morning.
On Saturday, two windows of a Toyota Corolla car parked at Audleystown Road in Castleward were broken sometime around 3.30pm and a number of personal items plus CDs were stolen from it.
Police also received a report that two vehicles were damaged in a carpark in Strangford later that evening.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity to contact them in Downpatrick on 028 4461 5011 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

Teenager arrested in council yard fire probe
A teenager has been arrested in connection with a suspected arson attack on a council yard in Co Antrim on Wednesday. The 17-year-old youth was arrested after three vans and a digger caught fire at the Market Road council yard in Ballymena. Wednesday's attack is the second such incident on a council yard in Northern Ireland in a matter of days.

Four vehicles destroyed in council yard fire
Four vehicles have been destroyed following an arson attack on a council yard in Co Antrim on Tuesday. Three vans and a digger caught fire at the Market Road council yard in Ballymena, but firefighters managed to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby flats.

Man jailed for throwing dog over wall
A man has been jailed for throwing a dog over a 25-ft high wall in Londonderry. Martin White, 19, of John Street in the city, was given a three month sentence after he was caught on CCTV cameras throwing a cocker spaniel over the city's walls and landing 25 feet below.

Downpatrick Shop Fire 'Suspicious'
Police are treating a fire which caused severe damage to a section of a County Down shopping mall as suspicious. The fire at the Grove Shopping Centre in Downpatrick caused extensive damage to one store and spread to three adjacent shops.
