Motorcyclist dies at scene of accident
A motorcyclist is reported to have died at the scene of a road traffic accident near Newcastle in County Down this morning.
The motocyclist was involved in a collision with a coach carrying around 20 children to school in Ballynahinch.
It is understood that neither the bus driver nor the children were injured in the crash. The motorcyclist has not yet been named.
The road was closed this morning and police diversions were in place on the Dundrum Road in Newcastle while the scene was being investigated.

A 21-year-old man has died in a road traffic collision near Gilford, Co Armagh. The man is understood to have died after his motorcycle collided with a tractor on the Ballymacanallen Road at around 1.25pm on Wednesday. An investigation has been launched and police have appealed for any witnesses to contact them.

A 24-year-old motorcyclist has been killed in a crash in Moneyslane, County Down. The road accident occurred on the Katesbridge Road on Sunday afternoon, close to Banbridge. The road has now reopened. The name of the man who died has not yet been released. Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them.
